BIHC 2nd Graduation The Boma International Hospitality College (BIHC) held its 2nd graduation ceremony on the 23rd of November 2018 at the training school grounds with over 83 students graduating. The event was graced by the Swiss Ambassador, H.E. Dr. Ralf Heckner, Prof. Margaret Kobia, Cabinet Secretary – Public Service and Youth & Gender Affairs and Kenya Red Cross Society Secretary General Dr. Abbas Gullet among other guests. Speaking during the ceremony KRCS Secretary General commended the students for their good performance and urged them to come up with innovative ways to put to use the skills they have acquired. “Today we are very proud to see our students graduate and move to the job market. They bring to the job market great skills that are tested through their work at the Boma Hotels,” Dr. Abbas Gullet said. “We are the first African hospitality college to send students to work in America for a one-year internship with 26 students already in the US,” Dr. Abbas emphasized. Boma International Hospitality College’s goal is to provide competitive theoretical and practical courses in both culinary and management studies, nurturing interest and careers in the hospitality industry. Prof. Margaret Kobia equally commended the school for their continuous growth and urged the students to be aggressive in using the skills and knowledge attained at the school. “Go into the world with a clear vision of what you want to achieve in your first five years, your destiny is in your own hands,” Prof. Margaret Kobia, said. The Boma International Hospitality College is in partnership with the Business and Hotel Management School (BHMS) in Switzerland. Through the partnership, students are linked to internship opportunities abroad for exposure and to further polish their knowledge and skills.
